NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM CLUB PRESIDENT MAY CHEAH Dear Fellow Lions, Once again, it is my privilege as President to extend warmest wishes to all my dear fellow Lions and your families a wonderful year of 2007. This will be another year of great hope and great opportunity for our service. On this New Year�s day, I thank you for your support and trust in me. I continue to appeal to you to participate actively in our activities and to attend our meetings. COMPLETED PROJECTS 11/11/2006 (Sightfirst) Sponsored 5 patients for eye cataract operation at Optimax Eye Specialist Centre. 4/12/2006 (Medical Support)Donated RM500/= to cancer patient, Madam Khoo, to subsidize her medical bill. 19/11/2006 (Public Services) Create roadsafety awareness by distributing flyers to mnotorists. This is a joint project with the Road Safety Council. 14/11/2006 (Educational Services)Presentation of 35 sets of school uniform and books to poor students studying at SJK (C) Kong Min Caw II. 19/11/2006 (Long Term Adopted Families) Gave food provision to 5 adopted families who are very poor. 19/11/2006 (Social Services)Celebrated festive season by giving lunch to Penang Home of the Inform and Aged. 13/11/2006 Adopted a foster child from the Penang Cheshire Home.
